A thoroughly modern merger

touch officially announces that it has formally merged with Milton Keynes based events agency dbmt, after a year of working collaboratively.

touch director, Patrick Collins, commented “In a thoroughly modern merger, touch formed a strategic alliance with dbmt and like most grown-up modern relationships we decide to live together first to see if we were truly compatible and that collaboration went so well it made sense for the two companies to become one!”

touch became a minority shareholder of dbmt in 2014, with David Bottrill owner of dbmt, joining the touch board and touch directors Patrick Collins and Nick Bender joining the dbmt board. Following the merger, dbmt is now fully owned by touch and David Bottrill becomes a shareholder of touch alongside Patrick Collins, Mike Ford, Nick Bender, Colette Murphy and David Selden.

This new partnership has further boosted touch’s stellar performance and the business looks set to record turnover in the region of £25million for the year ending 2016. Projected growth of 50% is also expected for the current year.

David Bottrill commented “the decision to become one with touch was an easy one to make, the success during the year we spent together exceeded expectations in every way and it just made sense to take the relationship to the next level. It continues to be business as usual, looking after our clients delivering the same great service and dedication that they have always enjoyed but with just a bit of touch magenta magic sprinkled in there too.”

David Selden, who as part of the expansion and investment in the future growth of business, also became a shareholder in the group and joined the board of touch last year heading up the commercial and governance function, with a particular focus on M&A opportunities commented, “There are huge benefits for both businesses. It further diversifies touch’s expertise and broadens the sectors we work in. dbmt has a fantastic reputation with its clients, particularly in the automotive sector, and we can now offer an expanded range of services to them”.

touch currently has 3 offices in Leatherhead (head office), Milton Keynes and Indianapolis in the US with a 2nd US office opening this month in New Jersey.

The merger provides touch with fantastic growth opportunities as we can now offer enhanced services to our combined clients, we are really excited about what this new chapter in our story will bring as we continue with our growth journey in this exciting time for the industry.
